What cloud storage will Sally connect to and what files can I upload?
Sally connects to Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox — and is OAuth verified, so you're always authenticating directly with your storage provider, never sharing your login details with Sally.
Right now, Sally supports PDF, TXT, EML, and MSG files, with more formats on the way.
What happens if Sally saves my file in the wrong folder?
Mistakes happen - and if you have a file that could potentially go in multiple folders, there is a chance it gets saved in the wrong place. If this were to happen, you can simply go to your cloud storage and move your file into the correct folder if that happens.
The point of Sally, however, is to save you time and prevent you from doing the heavy lifting. To help prevent incorrect matches, we’ve built features that reduce the chances of files being saved to the wrong folder:
- MANUAL OVERRIDE - PRO Tier
When switched on, this feature has Sally tell you what folder your file is to be saved in. If it’s correct, you click confirm. If it’s incorrect, you can override it and select the correct folder from a dropdown. - FILE RENAME Add-on
Using File Rename, you can change the name of the file when uploading it. This gives Sally clearer keywords to match the file with the correct folder. You can make this name change permanent, or just temporary for the purpose of sorting. This feature can be purchased at any time.
Does Sally have access to my cloud storage and all my files?
Sally connects to your cloud storage using secure OAuth – the same method most apps use to request access. That means we never see your password, and you can disconnect access at any time from either Let Sally or your cloud provider.
Sally is designed to use that access only to:
- Read your folder structure (so it can match files to the right folders), and
- Save the files you choose to upload.
Does Sally read the files that I upload?
Sally only reads necessary keywords for purpose of sorting your files correctly.
When you upload a file, Sally extracts keywords from the filename, email subject, or body of text, that align with your folder names. It sends that text through the AI classifier to match the extracted keywords with relevant folders. Sally then uses the results to choose the most appropriate match and saves your file there. Any utilised text or keywords to classify the file is then forgotten - We don’t store any information from files.
Can multiple people use a single account to sort files?
Sally is designed for one activer user on each account at a time. This keeps your folder matches consistent, protects your cloud storage, and makes sure your usage limits and history remain accurate.
If you want multiple people in your business to use Sally, we recommend each person has an individual login, all connected to the same cloud storage structure. That way, everyone can help with the filing, but you keep clear control over who is doing what.
What happens when I hit my monthly File limit?
Once you reach your monthly File limit, new uploads will stop being processed until your usage resets. You can upgrade your tier anytime though and instantly get access to more File Uploads. You can also REFER a friend and get 10 FREE Uploads.
